Firm Leadership
Emily Harris Managing Director, Wayfinder Strategic Advisors
Finding the right advisor is one of the most important decisions a business owner will make. Emily Harris built Wayfinder around the belief that the best M&A advisor is one who has been where the client is.
Emily began her career as a CPA, working in audit and controller roles across public companies, consulting firms, and privately held family businesses. That foundation gives her something most deal advisors never develop: a genuine understanding of how businesses work from the inside out. She does not learn a business from the outside looking in. She has spent her entire career inside businesses like the ones she now helps sell, which means she speaks the same language as the owners, accountants, and advisors who are part of every transaction.
Her path into investment banking came through Houston, where she was brought in to financially and operationally prepare sell-side clients before they went to market, work that requires rolling up your sleeves and getting into the details. She spent nearly a decade advising family-owned businesses in the lower middle market before founding Wayfinder, built on a simple belief: the details are where deals are won and lost.
Emily holds a CPA license and FINRA Series 79 and 63 registrations.
